Bible Based Beliefs
About God
We believe in one God who eternally exists in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. We believe God is limitless in power, knowledge, wisdom, love and holiness.
About Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and is co-equal with the Father. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead on the third day, demonstrating His power over both death and sin. He is the only One who can save man from their sin.
About The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is co-equal with God the Father and God the Son. He is present in the world to make individuals aware of their need for Jesus. He resides in every believer from the moment of salvation; providing them with resurrection power for godly living. We believe all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to each Christian, so they can bring glory to God, and minster powerfully to a broken and needy society.
About Human Beings
We believe mankind was created to have intimate fellowship with God. But, due to Adam's sin, (which has been passed down to all mankind), we are alienated from God through our willful disobedience (sin). Man cannot, by self-improvement, good intentions, or good works, enter into a right-relationship with God.
About Salvation
We believe salvation and the forgiveness of sin are gifts of God to mankind. It is only by trusting in Jesus Christ and His redeeming work on the cross that man can have a personal and right relationship with God, and receive forgiveness for their sin. We are saved solely by repenting of our sin and selfish nature and trusting in Jesus Christ.
About Eternity
We believe each person exists forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God due to their sin, or chose to be in union with God through their trusting/believing in Jesus. To be separated from God is eternal damnation. A Christian though, has the assurance of eternal and everlasting union with their glorious God.
About Eternal Security
We believe each person who has repented of their sin and has placed their trust in Jesus is secure in his or her salvation. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort and works of the believer. This glorious assurance of spending eternity with God should motivate the Christian to live a pure, thankful, Christ-like life.
About His Holy Word, The Bible
We believe the Bible is God's Word to mankind. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance and protection of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian belief, values, attitudes and actions. Because it was inspired by the Sovereign Lord, it is absolute Truth without any mixture of error.
About The Church
We believe each person who has trusted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord is a member of God’s Universal Church, and is commanded to be an integral part of a local church. Each local church is under the authority of Jesus Christ, and should have God appointed leaders. Water baptism and the Lord's Supper are available and encouraged to any and all believers.
